Have you ever wanted to document an event or keep a journal of inspirational quotes? Maybe you've wished for some small portable way to sneak in some creative time on a trip? Whatever your reason, this is a class designed to show you the tricks and techniques I have learned to use while traveling and journaling with watercolors.
This is a four week class that meets on Thursday afternoons (June 7, 14, 21,and 28) from 3:00-5:30. The cost is $100 and is limited to eight participants so I can give individual attention to all. You can have the choice of bringing your own supplies (see list below), or I will supply all your materials for $50. Ages 16 and up are welcome.
You DO NOT have to know how to use watercolors, but some drawing experience is helpful. I will demonstrate the process, and we will practice many examples as we create small journals for each lesson so you can refer back to them when the class is over. Hope to see you there!
Supply List:
- Travel watercolor palette (Koi 24 count is a good start)
- Pentel Large waterbrush (my favorite aquabrush) or something similar
- 140lb. cold-pressed 11x15 paper 6+sheets
- White Gel Pen
- Kneading eraser
- Mechanical Pencil
- small binder clip (micro or 3/4 inch)
- 005 permanent pen (or something similar)
I will bring paper towels, pipettes, and other material needed to create some handmade journals.
