Want a chance to find out “Who done it?” Become a forensic scientist and criminal investigator solving fictitious crimes during our STEAM powered super sleuth’s camp. Students will participate in more than 25 hands-on, inquiry-based lessons and experiments correlated with the Ohio Department of Education’s Fourth and Fifth Grade Subject Area Standards. During this weeklong camp, students will solve two crimes through completing tasks that require them to apply their core knowledge through solving relevant challenges and activities, all the while developing perseverance and tenacity. Students are provided a window into the careers of forensic scientists and criminal investigators by viewing short accompanying video clips with each lesson, made by the experts at Ohio’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation. In addition, this camp will provide students with many opportunities to develop problem-solving and critical-thinking skills by taking part in daily Makerspace Projects.
