Summer Arts On Fire VIRTUAL Camp
PANDA-MOMIUM!
This summer at All Fired Up! we are SOOOO excited to be able to offer Arts On Fire Summer Camps again! This time last year, we had to put our traditional day camps on hold. We were happy to be able to create all new virtual camps and incredibly grateful to the campers who joined us in that adventure, but sad to shelve our grand, in-person plans. This year, we are back to normal…… sort of. We’ll be offering BOTH VIRTUAL AND HYBRID CAMPS! A lot of wonderful things came out of the virtual camp experience. In addition to enabling us to safely serve our camp customers, the virtual format allowed us to reach new friends that might live a little far away for day camps, working families, and kids who for a variety of reasons might prefer camp at home. Also, virtual camps are recorded & therefore available anytime. We’ve learned a lot about how to pack & present virtual camps, but we still miss seeing you in person so this year we’re doing both!
No matter how you attend camp, we recommend that kids wear old clothes for all projects that are not clay or pottery painting. Pre-registration is also recommended as our workshops have become very popular & have been selling out quickly. A NON-REFUNDABLE $50 deposit per child per camp week is due at the time of registration.
Pandas are so cute! We couldn’t resist choosing them for this animal themed camp. Projects include the Playful Panda (bisque & multimedia), Woo Hoo Bamboo Tray (wax resist on bisque), Roly-Poly Panda Bowl-y (clay), Pleased to Meet You Panda (acrylic on canvas, 11”x14”), and a bamboo-themed bonus project. Samples are shown with pandas, but if you love another animal, Miss Karen will help you make that happen. Sketchbook included. This is a VIRTUAL ONLY camp. Custom kits will be provided for pre-camp pick-up. Sessions will be via Google Meets and a private Facebook group with classes saved to the Facebook group so that sessions can be completed at any time after they “air”. Virtual camps involving minors are ONLY available by enrolling in the camp & receiving the private invitation. The cost is $200 per child for the week. Best for artists aged 5yrs.-15yrs. Younger artists may participate with supervision.
* We chose Google Meets after researching (both reading reviews and articles & talking with parents, students, educators, and other business owners) and personally trying out many different platforms. It is very important to us that our virtual workshops are not just fun, but also have the same level of concern for your privacy as our in-person workshops. Google Meets seems to be the best balance of user friendliness and security for a business our size.
