Vitality Arts: Watercolor 8 Week Course

Watercolor is a water soluble paint which has transparent properties allowing light to be reflected through layers of color. This exciting and versatile medium gives artists the opportunity to express their creativity in multiple ways. Washes of rich color, playful brushstrokes and the sparkle of white paper combine in unique ways to create beautiful paintings. 

In this course, students will learn techniques and approaches to watercolor painting, as well as the elements and principles of art. Students will work from still life and photo images as sources and will be encouraged to create their own viewpoint and creative style. Merging of technical skill and creative expression will be encouraged as watercolor painting is explored in a relaxed, fun and supportive atmosphere.
