Love Knot Bracelet - Wire Wrapping Workshop
Learn metalworking and wire wrapping techniques with Sterling Silver wire and findings and sparkling Swarovski crystals. Hints and tips on how to shape wire are shared by Instructor with personal attention to each student’s ability. Complete a handmade beaded bracelet and time permitting, move on to create another.
Minimum Skill Level: No Prior experience necessary although good personal magnification is required, i.e. glasses or visors. Advanced students should bring their own personal plier sets including a flush cutter.
What you will learn? Metalworking including understanding metal tempers; wire wrapping; making beaded stations; forming simple loops; sizing techniques and adding clasp as closure; creating dangles with headpins; oxidizing and/or polishing.
Date/Time: 4-hr workshop. Feb 29, 2020. Time: 10am-2pm.
Cost: $80.00 for 4-hr plus $20 for materials fee (paid to instructor on day of workshop. Crystal color variations available and clasp substitution are possible. Extra kits will also be available for purchase for additional bracelet making.)
About our visiting instructor, Sandra Lupo - Sandra Lupo is a jewelry designer who teaches wire, bead and metalwork techniques at museums, arts workshops and wherever creative students gather and seek knowledge in the art of jewelry making. She contributes DIY projects to various publications and demonstrates and teaches nationally and internationally at bead festivals. Sandra has been on expert advice teams and has judged contests in jewelry design and crafting.
Sandra currently is a Swarovski® Authorized Instructor, a member of a small group of nationally recognized designers and teachers. She was a Swarovski Ambassador from the inception of that distinguished program.
As an inventor, Sandra is excited to share her creativity with the jewelry making and crafting world with designs, written instructions and demos based on her Conetastic™ Cone Mandrel Tool Set and Accessories.
