Monday:
Story of the totem poles. Different cultures and meaning of the totem poles. How we imagine ours. Designing our own totem poles. Sketching and making a mini one.

Monday:
Story of the totem poles. Different cultures and meaning of the totem poles. How we imagine ours. Designing our own totem poles. Sketching and making a mini one.
Tuesday:
Learning about the different clay building techniques to start our project.
Wednesday:
Painting with shiny and glossy glazes (brush paint different techniques, decals and stamps).
(pieces will be fired that night)
Thursday:
Wheel throwing day.
Friday:
Work presentation. Wheel throwing goodbye party and clay body painting story time.
Materials:
2 kg. White stoneware (wheel throwing + Hand-building)
1 litre (liquid clay)
Glazes (glossy-opaque transparent)
Underglazes (10 different colours)
Firings x 2 (bisque + glaze)

Studio outside setting with tents with sidewall sun/rain
protectors. We will be outside all day and we will go to the park for
snacks and outdoors activities. Bathroom-books- board games fridge with
fresh water in our nice cozy indoor studio to hang around. Water
balloons and a bunch of outdoors games to go wild and have fun running around at the park.
