This virtual class will cover the basic methods of hand building in clay as well as safe practices for working in clay out of your home. Instruction will cover methods for functional hand-built clay pieces and tile making methods and will teach about managing the stages of clay. Creative decorative methods such as sgraffito and texturing will also be covered as part of the project lessons! Whether you have clay experience or not this class is open to all individuals looking to create with their hands! Some projects we will be making include: bowls, cups, multi-walled forms, tiles and more!
Supplies will be picked up at the Art Center (Suite 103). You will receive an email when supplies are ready for pick up. When completed, projects will need to be dropped off at Rumriver Art Center for firing in our kiln and will be ready for pickup in a couple of weeks. Once the clay projects are ready, participants have 14 days to pick up their projects. After 14 days, we will re-purpose any projects that are unclaimed.
