Summer Arts On Fire VIRTUAL Camp
Home Is Where the HeART Is!
This camp will celebrate the closeness and sense of family that has emerged out of the need to stay home during the pandemic. While
we expect that we will have more freedom of movement in the coming weeks, seating here at the studio will still be limited, so we have decided to offer this year's camp as a virtual event. Many families have found that they enjoy doing things together as a family at their own pace. This Art Camp is perfect for that!
Each lesson gives the opportunity to reflect on the past months, be thankful for the good parts, create lasting memories, and have
fun doing art. Camp kits will be packaged with the supplies needed for four main projects*, an All Fired Up! bandana (in place of our usual camp t-shirt), and a sketchbook with artsy goodies. We will have a Pick Up Party on Friday, July 17 so that all campers have everything they need for their first day of camp. Miss Karen will host each camp session on Google Meets**. A secure link will be provided by 7/17. An invitation to
join a private camp Facebook page will also be included. We will be using that all week to post camp related things like reminders, what's up next, prep work & household items needed, action shots, and pictures of projects. We will also use this page to post a virtual gallery opening of kids artwork once pieces are finished & fired which parents can contribute photos to. Family participation is encouraged, but please bear in mind that each kit is intended for one artist and order your kits accordingly. Each kit costs $175 + tax.

** We chose Google Meets after researching (both reading reviews and articles & talking with parents, students, educators, and other business owners) and personally trying out many different platforms. It is very important to us that our virtual workshops are not just fun, but also have the same level of concern for your privacy as our in-person workshops. Google Meets seems to be the best balance of user friendliness and security for a business our size.
