PACKAGE #1:
Animal Cereal Bowl Project: 1.5 hours
(min 5, max 8)
We will teach you how to make a nice wide pinch pot and transform it into your favourite animal by adding details like paws, tails and head. After molding you will be able to paint with colored underglazes to add further design details. Once the items are dry we will add a high gloss clear glaze and fire twice so your dish will be food, microwave, and dishwasher safe. The firing process usually takes 2 weeks.
PACKAGE #2:
Puff Dish Project: 1.5 hours
(min 5, max 8)
We will teach you to make slabs with clay and cut them into different shapes. We then press the shaped slab on a foam to create dishes. You can create your own unique table setting :) Once the mold is complete you will have an opportunity to add design details and paint with colored underglazes. Once the items are dry we will add a high gloss clear glaze and then fire the item twice so it is food, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
PACKAGE #3:
Wheel Throwing Party: 2 hours
(min 5, max 6)
An instructor will be guiding the group through basic wheel throwing techniques showing students how to center and throw. Once the piece is finished (bowl, cup or vase) you'll be able to paint with colored glazes to finish off the design details. Once dry we will fire twice so it is food, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
