Complete Analog Darkroom (12 Weeks)

Description

Fully immerse yourself in the Analog process with this rigorous 12-week course.  From analog camera shooting mechanics in both 35mm and medium format, to processing film, to printing in both black & white AND color, and learning skills to adjust tonality, color-correct prints, formulate chemistry and use alternative processes to generate physical art objects.  

You'll receive a 3-month limited membership to Gowanus Darkroom, including access to black & white and color facilities (a $750 value)

Who should take this class

Intermediate and experienced digital shooters who want to try shooting film.  Anyone interested in the overall process of analog film capture, processing and printing in a classic darkroom setting.

What to bring

Bring your film-based SLR, medium format, Holga, or whatever you have.  We do have a limited number of cameras available for rental at $10 per session.

Prerequisites

If you've never taken photos in manual mode, we highly recommend taking 1 Day Workout: Camera Warm-Up! or Digital Photo I, or at the very least , Crash Course: Camera Basics prior to taking this class.
