Do you have limited space at home, but want to be creative? Have you ever wished for some convenient way to have some artistic time on a trip, document an event, or keep a journal of inspirational quotes? Whatever your reason, this is a class designed to show you the tricks and techniques I have learned to use while traveling and journaling with watercolors.
This is a four week class (January 16, 23, 30, and February 6th) that meets on Thursday afternoons (1:00-4:00) OR evenings (5:00-8:00). The cost is $140 and is limited to eight participants so I can give individual attention to all. You will need to provide your own supplies (see list below). Ages 16 and up are welcome.
You DO NOT have to know how to use watercolors, but drawing experience is helpful. I will demonstrate the process, and we will practice many examples. We will create small journals for each lesson so you can refer back to them when the class is over. Hope to see you there!
Supply List:
- Travel watercolor palette (Koi 24 count is a good start and what I will use for teaching) It can be ordered online at a better price than purchased locally.
- Pentel Large waterbrush (my favorite aquabrush) or something similar
- 140lb. cold-pressed 11x15 paper (full tablet)
- White Gel Pen
- Kneading eraser
- Mechanical Pencil
- small binder clip (micro or 3/4 inch)
- 005 permanent pen (or something similar)
I will bring paper towels, pipettes, and share other materials you might consider purchasing to create some handmade journals.
Please Note: I have indoor cats, so beware if you are allergic.
