Description: Acrylic paint is a very versatile medium. It can be used in thin washes like watercolors or in thicker strokes similar to oils but with a quicker drying time. Acrylic painting introduces the beginning art student to the basics from how to handle the paint and its tools to introducing techniques used by professional artists to produce beautiful paintings. We use the layer method of teaching acrylic painting, using step-by-step instructions. We use masters like Van Gogh, Matisse, Picasso and many others as inspiration for our work. Each student will complete 3 to 4 paintings during the week.
