Unleash your creativity with this clay kit
INCLUDED:
For $15 extra you can get small containers of orange, red, cobalt blue, yellow, lime green, white and black underglaze which you can paint onto the wet or leather hard clay.
Underglazes are more vibrant and hued than regular colored glazes, so they can give a more bright and creative look to pottery. You can also mix underglazes to get different tones.
Underglaze can be applied on greenware (unfired pottery) "your pots" in this case, or bisqueware (fired pottery before it’s glazed). You can paint your pots with a brush, use a stencil or trace a design with pencil and painted on top. Don't worry about erasing the pencil markings, it will burn out in the kiln :)
Note, we will apply a layer of transparent glaze over the underglaze before firing your creation.
When you’ve finished making your pieces email us, bring the pieces you’ve made back to the studio and we’ll fire them for you.
If you enjoyed it the first time and want to repeat, hold on to the tools and get another block of clay for $35+ HST. (fire and clear glaze
applied at the studio included).
