Artist Entrepreneur Retreat

Many artists would love to make a living from their art, but that's easier said than done. Whether you're just starting to try to earn money making art or need to refresh your art business, this retreat is for you. While learning from both experts and your fellow artists, you'll leave the retreat with an actionable plan to make more money from your art.

This retreat is free to attend, but will be limited to 15 artists for better discussion. Attendance is also limited to residents of Macon-Bibb.

7:00-9:00 pm Art Entrepreneurs Kick-Off Party: Get to know the artists participating in the retreat, as well as other artists in the community. This event is open to the public.

Saturday

​9:00 am-12:00 pm Write Your Own Manual for Your Business: Stephanie Howard (Mercer Innovation Center) will show you how to write a quick business plan using the Lean Canvas Model. A good business plan will become your guide for how to earn money from your art, no matter what that looks like for you. 

12:00-1:00 pm Lunch at The 567 (provided)

1:00-4:00 pm Branding for Artists: Noelle Brooks (The Fringe Marketing Group) is passionate about teaching artists the secrets to good marketing. Artists who attend this workshop will be able to create a mission/vision statement to guide their marketing, identify their KEY audience, and implement at least one new marketing strategy (i.e. Instagram campaign with a hashtag).
