About our visiting instructor, Stephanie Maddalena - Stephanie studied art in college and began taking as many classes as she could in jewelry making. Eventually she began making pins and earrings in a collage effect using paper, plastic, glass, fabric, and just about anything else that appealed to her. In 1994, she took a weekend workshop in lampworked beads with Kate Fowle (now Kate Fowle Meleney). By the end of the workshop she was hooked, and has been making beads ever since. The flowers she now makes have been evolving over the last two years. She have been showing her work at the Artrider Craft shows at the Park Avenue Armory, in New York City.
