(4 Week) Baking Boot Camp for Beginners

This hands-on, skills-based series covers the basic baking techniques you'll need to feel comfortable being called upon to "bring a dessert" to your next gathering. Or at the very least, understand a whole lot more of what is happening on the "Great British Bake Off."

Each participant will go home with plenty of baked desserts each week to impress family and friends.

How to Salad (Spring Edition)

Elevate your salad game forever! 

You'll learn:

  • How to prep and store crisp salad greens,
  • Make a perfect vinaigrette and other dressings, 
  • Add heartiness (beans, grains, nuts) for "dinner salads"
  • Add variety, with herbs, pickles, and other crunchy ingredients, and 
  • How to properly season your salad so it sings

Based on the season, we'll create and eat:

Spring Farmer's Market Tour + Cooking Class

​​Join us as we tour NYC's largest and most beloved farmers market: the Union Square Greenmarket!

We'll wander through the farm stands, sampling and shopping for local produce and farm-made products to fill our shopping basket.
 

Along the way, we'll discuss:

  • What makes something "local"
  • Why "organic" is not the most important label at the market
  • What is currently in season and at its peak of flavor
  • What are the most important products to buy at the market
  • Tips for choosing the best produce

"Great British Bake Off" Classic Bakes

Who doesn't love watching "Great British Bake Off"?

We are huge fans ourselves, so we decided to recreate the famed tent in our own SoHo kitchen, minus the competitive element. Instead we'll drink tea together while learning the baking techniques behind some of the show's signature desserts.

Due to popularity, we now have 2 GBBO-inspired classes. Makes sure to check out our GBBO Cake Week class too!
